VegasHero KYC and verification

VegasHero’s current Terms allow the operator to request identity documents, proof of residence and evidence linked to the payment methods used, including proof of ownership and transaction history. These examples do not form a fixed checklist for every account, as additional checks may also be required. Customers are given 30 days to provide requested information. Once a complete response has been received, VegasHero says verification is usually completed within 10 days, although some cases may take longer or require further checks. A withdrawal can remain on hold while verification is incomplete, so both document requirements and review status can affect when a payment is released.

VegasHero KYC at a glance

  • Documents that may be requested: certified ID, proof of residence, and payment-method ownership or transaction records are among the examples in the current Terms.
  • Further checks: VegasHero says it can use further procedures to verify identity, age, residence, source of funds and other circumstances.
  • Response window: requested documents and information must be supplied within 30 days.
  • Review timing: the Terms say verification is usually completed within 10 days after the request has been answered in full, but they do not guarantee that deadline.
  • Effect on withdrawals: payment can be withheld and withdrawal processing postponed until required checks are complete.

What documents can VegasHero ask for?

Section 5 of the current Terms lists categories of documents that may be requested rather than a fixed set that every customer must provide. VegasHero may ask for properly certified identification, proof of residence and evidence showing ownership of the payment methods used. The Terms also refer to transaction histories, such as bank or card statements, as well as information needed to verify the source of funds.

The exact request can therefore vary from one account to another. The documents listed in the Terms are examples rather than a universal checklist, and VegasHero may ask for additional information where necessary. The same section also allows for further procedures such as phone checks, face verification and other security checks.

Verification area Examples in current Terms What not to assume
Identity Properly certified ID That one specific document type is always mandatory
Residence Proof of residence That the same proof format is accepted in every case
Payment ownership Ownership evidence and transaction histories for payment methods used That a deposit method will never require later evidence
Source of funds and security Further information or additional checks when requested That the initial document request will always be the final one

How the response and review periods work

The Terms describe two separate time periods. Customers have 30 days from VegasHero’s request to provide the required documents and information. The review period begins once the request has been answered in full. From that point, VegasHero says verification is usually completed within 10 days, although more complex cases may take longer or require additional checks.

The 10-day period should therefore not be counted automatically from the first email, first upload or withdrawal request. If VegasHero considers the submitted information incomplete, the review may not yet have started. Keeping copies of the documents sent and noting the submission date can make it easier to follow up with support if the process is delayed.

Why KYC can hold up a withdrawal

VegasHero’s Terms link verification directly to payments. The operator may withhold payment or suspend an account while requested information is still outstanding. Withdrawal processing can also be delayed while identity, account balance, source-of-funds or other compliance checks are completed. The Terms further state that winnings may be held until the required verification procedures have been completed successfully.

Not every withdrawal will necessarily lead to a new document request, but a pending payment can depend on whether the account’s checks are complete. For information about payment processing times and payment-method issues, see the VegasHero withdrawals page. Verification time and payment processing time should be treated as separate stages.

Great Britain identity rules

For remote operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission in Great Britain, age verification is required before a customer can deposit, access free-to-play gambling games or gamble. The Commission’s customer identity condition also requires licensees to establish core identity details, including name, address and date of birth, before gambling begins.

These rules provide useful context, but they do not show that VegasHero currently operates under a UKGC licence or follows exactly the same process as a GB-licensed operator. The separate VegasHero licence status page covers that question in more detail.

What to do if VegasHero asks for verification

  1. Read the request carefully and focus on the documents VegasHero has actually asked you to provide.
  2. Use clear, up-to-date documents that match the name and personal details on the account.
  3. Send the requested information within the 30-day response window and keep a record of when it was submitted.
  4. If support says the response is incomplete, ask what is still missing instead of assuming the 10-day review period has already started.
  5. If a withdrawal is pending, keep verification and payment processing as separate stages when checking progress.
  6. Use the published support channel if the request or status is unclear, and keep a clear record of what was requested, submitted and confirmed.

For related account information, the account setup page explains registration and account rules. If the issue has developed into a dispute or repeated delay, the VegasHero complaints page covers the complaints process and related issues.

How verification can affect a pending VegasHero withdrawal

A withdrawal can remain on hold while VegasHero considers identity, residence, payment-ownership or source-of-funds checks incomplete. The current Terms give customers 30 days to respond to a document request and say that a complete response is usually reviewed within 10 days, although further checks can extend the process. If a withdrawal is pending, it is useful to treat document submission, verification and payment processing as separate steps rather than assuming that the usual review period is also a guaranteed payment date.
